About the role
We are hiring a junior Python developer to turn documents, spreadsheets, and manual business workflows into reliable digital systems. You will build data-processing scripts, document-extraction workflows, APIs, and internal tools for our agency and client projects. We want practical problem-solving and ownership of working software.

What you will do
• Extract and structure data from PDFs, scanned documents, images, Excel/CSV files, and external APIs.
• Build and improve OCR/document-processing workflows using tools such as Tesseract, EasyOCR, PaddleOCR, or cloud OCR services.
• Clean and normalize data, validate fields, remove duplicates, and flag unclear or incorrect records for human review.
• Import data into databases with field mapping, validation, error reports, and safeguards against duplicate or partial imports.
• Write SQL queries and maintain database tables, relationships, migrations, and basic indexes.
• Build REST APIs and backend features using FastAPI, Django, or Flask for data upload, review, search, and reporting.
• Automate recurring tasks; add logging, retries, background processing, and clear status tracking where needed.
• Debug existing code, test important workflows, use Git, and document how to operate and troubleshoot your tools.
• Use AI coding or extraction tools where helpful while checking accuracy and protecting business data.

Required skills and experience
• At least 6 months of relevant professional Python development experience; around 1–2 years is preferred. This opening is not for freshers or candidates with internship-only experience.
• Strong Python fundamentals and practical work with files, JSON, CSV/Excel, API requests, and error handling.
• Database knowledge is mandatory: working experience with at least one database, preferably MySQL, PostgreSQL, or SQLite, and the ability to write SQL queries and explain data relationships.
• Hands-on experience building a real backend, automation, data-processing, or document-digitization project; able to explain your own code and decisions.
• Practical experience with at least one Python backend framework: FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
• Working knowledge of Pandas or equivalent data-cleaning tools and Git.
• Currently based in Delhi and able to commute to our office full-time. This is an in-person role.

Good to have
• OCR, PDF parsing, image preprocessing, document extraction, or human-review workflows.
• Excel automation, API integrations, scheduled jobs, basic Linux/Docker deployment, and practical automated tests.
• AI/LLM API integration with structured outputs and validation.
