PHP Senior Backend Developer

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Senior PHP Backend Developer with over 4 years of experience in Core PHP, CodeIgniter, and Laravel. The ideal candidate will take ownership of backend development, contribute to architecture planning, mentor junior developers, and ensure best coding practices across projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead backend development using Core PHP, CodeIgniter, and Laravel
• Design, develop, and maintain scalable and secure web applications and APIs
• Collaborate with frontend developers and product managers to deliver seamless user experiences
• Optimize performance of the backend systems and databases
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and enforce coding standards
• Manage version control and deployment processes
• Troubleshoot and debug complex issues, offering long-term fixes
• Ensure security, data protection, and compliance throughout the development lifecycle

Required Skills:

• Advanced proficiency in Core PHP with strong OOP principles
• Deep knowledge of Laravel and CodeIgniter frameworks
• Expertise in MySQL/MariaDB, database schema design, and query optimization
• Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party API integrations
• Strong understanding of MVC architecture, middleware, and routing
• Familiarity with version control tools, especially Gi
• Knowledge of server-side optimization and deployment practices

Preferred Skills (Nice to Have):

• Experience in caching, queue systems, and job scheduling
• Familiarity with Docker or cloud platforms (AWS, DigitalOcean)
• Basic DevOps knowledge for CI/CD pipelines
• Exposure to frontend frameworks (Vue.js, React) is a plus
